Agathiya is the person who comes to everyone's mind when they hear the word Siddhar. Siddhar means Agathiyar and Agathiyar means Siddhar.
Once upon a time in the forest of Vindhya there were two deadly monsters named Vatabi and Ilvalan. They cunningly invite innocent people who come to their area to their house and give them a feast. Those who went thinking that the party was good, died.
Ilvalan used to make people who were going to a party turn Vatabi into a lamb and slaughter it and cook curry to fill the stomachs of those who came. When the guest finished his meal, Ilvalan would call out, 'Vadabhi, come out!' Immediately, the vadaphi, which entered the stomach as food, will tear the stomach and come out.
The guest will die because the stomach is torn open. The two monsters used to cut up the dead and eat them.
One day Agathiyar was also walking in that direction. Immediately Ilvalan invited Agathiyar to his residence for a feast. Agathiyar knew the tricks of the summoner by his wisdom. Agathiyar went to Ilvalan's house without knocking the call. There, as usual, Ilvalan cooked Vatabi as mutton. Ilvalan acted like serving food with great humility and affection.
Agathiyar's stomach is full. After all the food was in his stomach he rubbed his stomach saying 'Vatabi going to be digest'. Immediately Vatabi became digested. Unaware of this, Brother Ilvalan repeatedly called out, 'Come out, come out!' But the vatabi never came. Realizing Agathiyar's divinity, Ilvalan fell at his feet and begged for forgiveness.
